Privacy Policy
1. Controller
The controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is Alpine Electronics Marketing, Inc., 1-7 Yukigayaotsukamachi, Ota City, Tokyo 145-0067, Japan. For any questions regarding data protection, please contact: Koudous International Law Office, info@koudous-law.de.
2. Data We Collect
When you use our pre-registration form, we collect your first name, email address, and postal code. When the page is accessed, we additionally record a randomly generated anonymous visitor ID, the time, selected language, and requested page. When the form is submitted, the IP address and browser user agent are also stored for abuse prevention and technical troubleshooting.
3. Purpose of Processing
We process your data to register your interest in the MamaPass app, to send you a maximum of two emails—one informing you of the confirmed release date and one providing early access to the app—to analyse the geographical distribution of interested users on the basis of postal codes, and to compare anonymous page visits with completed pre-registrations. Technical data is also used for security and abuse prevention.
4. Legal Basis
The processing of your form and email data is based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You provide this consent by ticking the respective checkboxes on our pre-registration page. Technically necessary processing and anonymous reach measurement are based on our legitimate interest in operating the website securely and evaluating the pre-registration phase pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
5. Data Storage and Data Transfers
Your data is stored on servers located in Germany. Your data may also be shared with Alpine Electronics Marketing, Inc. in Japan for the purpose of administering the MamaPass pre-registration. Japan has been recognised by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of data protection (adequacy decision pursuant to Art. 45 GDPR). Your data will be deleted once the purpose of pre-registration has been fulfilled, unless you register as an app user, in which case separate terms and a separate privacy policy will apply.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to request access to your personal data (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The competent supervisory authority is the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach.
7. Right of Withdrawal
You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by sending an email to info@mamapass.de. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
8. Disclosure to Third Parties
Your data will not be disclosed to other third parties. The transfer within the responsible organisation described in Section 5 remains unaffected.
9. Cookies
This website currently uses only technically necessary first-party cookies. They retain the session used to protect the form, your selected language, and a randomly generated anonymous visitor ID. This ID enables an aggregated comparison of unique visitors and completed pre-registrations. No advertising cookies, third-party analytics, or social-media tracking are currently used. Should this change, this privacy policy and the consent mechanism will be updated accordingly.
